was opened in 1930 as a county grammar school and following the reorganisation of schools in the Borough of Ealing it received its first comprehensive intake in 1975.
The school became grant maintained in 1992 and following changes in legislation became a foundation school in 1998. The school was awarded Beacon Status in July 2000 and won the School Achievement Award for Excellence for three consecutive years.
In July 2003 the school became a Leading Edge school. In 2004 our Head, Sir Pritpal Singh, was recognised as the Headteacher of the Year for London. In February 2004, the school was named in the Chief Inspector's Report to Parliament as an outstanding school.
In June 2005 our Head, Sir Pritpal Singh was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to education.
