An independent co-educational (8-16 years) specialist day school (I.S.A.)The Arts Educational School offers a sound academic education and an opportunity to pursue and to achieve vocational excellence. We aim to give our pupils the confidence, the knowledge and the skills to prepare them for a world of increasing change, as well as an appreciation of the arts which will enrich their adult lives.
The combination of academic study, creative arts and performance develops self-discipline and a sense of responsibility in our pupils, not just to themselves but to school and to the local community. We acknowledge that the creative arts are often individual activities and so we do all we can to encourage our pupils to enjoy the spirit of co-operation and participation.
Our pupils will aim for high levels of achievement. They will have career ambitions as performers and also in the legal, administrative and financial aspects of the arts. For all this to be achieved, we pride ourselves on the exacting standards set in the classroom and in the studios. Our pupils seize the challenge and by so doing, learn the importance of commitment, the need for mutual respect and courtesy.
From the early morning through to the evening, there is an energy and a magic in the School, an atmosphere which infects all our pupils. A day at The Arts Educational School is more than the sum of its timetabled lessons.
