we provide a dynamic and balanced curriculum, based on the International Baccalaureate programmes. Our teachers and students come from over fifty countries. Unlike many international schools, we do not have one dominant nationality. The diversity in ISL makes us a truly global international school. Drawing on the rich variety of cultures represented at the school, ISL aims to develop in each student a global outlook, which seeks to understand and appreciate the attitudes and values of others.
We value highly the learning of mother-tongue languages. We are one of the few schools to offer home languages in the mainstream curriculum. We offer around twenty languages to students from Early Childhood to Year 13. Consequently, our students retain a strong sense of self-esteem in relation to their own culture and language. The wide range of languages offered also greatly enhances our students' opportunities for university entrance.
