Heston Community School

Nearest underground station: Osterley

has served its local community in West London since 1932. It provides Adult and Community

Education programmes in addition to a broad and balanced education for 1300 boys and girls aged 11 to 18 (270 in sixth form). There is a Centre for pupils with hearing impairment and the school shares a campus adjacent to the open spaces of Osterley Park with Heston Junior and Infant Schools and a Sports Hall, some 5 miles from Heathrow Airport.

The school offers excellent facilities for successful learning and teaching. It received highly positive Ofsted reports in 1995 and 1998. It was awarded Investor in People status in July 2000 and Beacon Status in June 2001. As part of Hounslow's "Excellence in Cities" plan, the school has received additional funding for Learning Mentor and Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator posts which will further enhance support for pupils in the school.
