is a new, independent, 11-19 school, receiving its funding directly from the Department of Education and skills. The Academy moved during the summer of 2005 into a new purpose – build school.
Our impressive range of facilities includes: classrooms designed to take advantage of the latest techniques and teaching aids; a suite of science laboratories and a science garden; advances design and technology workshop with industry standard equipment; food technology rooms; an art and design suite with graphic design technology; a multimedia language centre; a video editing suite; large drama studio; excellent music suit with advanced electronic music recording studio and individual practice rooms; as well as a restaurant.
It is a superb example of a successful working partnership between the education and private sector. Our principal sponsor is Barry Townsley, a successful stockbroker and banker.
